Bird’s eye view feature utility

Birds Eye View overlays motion paths on an aerial map to show where visitors came from and went, and while some owners find the picture in picture map adds only modest extra information or even feels gimmicky on simple, single path doorsteps, others like seeing a glanceable trail when people move around the property, though the satellite imagery itself can still look low resolution and the overlay is only visible inside the Ring app.

Birds Eye View uses radar to draw an overhead path of visitors and show how they approached the door, giving extra context beyond the main video feed and helping some owners spot people lingering around the yard, but occasional false readings and its optional feel still make it more of a clever add-on than a must-have feature.
