Yeedi S14 Plus Review: A Budget Flagship vs. The Ecovacs X8 Omni and Roborock Saros 10

What We Loved

• Auto-resume after recharge (robotic)
  The S14 does have recharge and resume
• Edge-cleaning effectiveness
  its roller module will extend automatically when it's near edges for better edge coverage
• Hair-wrap prevention / anti-tangle tech
  It was able to resist 100% of the hair in the 7-inch hair test
• Liquid/spill pickup (wet-dry models)
  roller-style mops can handle wet liquids much better than spinning or single mops
• Mobile-app functionality & reliability
  It has all the major features I'm used to seeing on top-of-the-line apps
• Mopping performance (robotic or wet-dry)
  the Yeedi scored 94 points, which is a touch above average
• Obstacle & cliff avoidance (robots)
  it got an overall score of 19 out of a possible 24, which is higher than average
• Pet-hair pickup efficiency
  had one of the best scores on record with this test—much better than the Saros 10, for example.
• Price
  a discounted price compared to the Ecovacs X8
• Self-cleaning mop function
  wash its roller with hot water, dry its roller with hot air
• Self-emptying base
  it will empty its bin into a disposable bag
• Suction power (air watts)
  it was significantly above average—much more suction than the Roborock Saros 10, for example.

Just Okay

• Battery runtime / Charging time
  the Yeedi was slightly below average in battery efficiency
• Cleaning performance on carpet
  it was a little lower than average—but it was exactly the same score that the Roborock Saros 10 got.
• Cleaning performance on hard floors
  I did notice a little bit of scattering of debris with its side brush, especially when there was a large amount of debris and on hard floors.
• Mapping/navigation accuracy (robotics)
  it covered the area well and did so fairly efficiently

Needs Improvement

• Dust-bin capacity
  the same super small 220 milliliters
